Wind is one of the cleanest renewable energy source and has a fewer effect on environment. On the other hand, wind power generation usually has problem of density as it is wind-driven. We provide wind power energy solution by installing wind turbine together with battery energy storage system to overcome fluctuations in the supply

Surbana Jurong conducted implementation of micro wind turbine with low start-up and low cut-in wind of 2.5m/s. Power generated by the micro wind turbines is used to charge the battery energy storage system (BESS). The BESS discharges to the Grid when the Solar PV generation dips.

Nippon Koei is promoting wind power generation with battery energy storage in American Samoa.

On the island of Tutuila in American Samoa, an onshore wind power generation facility (42 MW equivalent) and storage batteries (40 MWh equivalent) will be installed to supply electricity to the island.

The installation of storage batteries along with wind power generation will not only increase the utilization rate of renewable energy, but will also contribute to the stabilization of power supply in the territory by addressing issues such as rapid output fluctuations and adjusting supply and demand in the remote island grid.
